The Circadian Rhythm: Aligning Your Body’s Clock with Nature

Circadian Rhythm Clock featuring natural times when the body functions best.

WTF is the Circadian Rhythm?

It's the CONDUCTOR of your life--it controls WHEN things happen in your body based on a 24-hour cycle. The circadian rhythm takes its cues from both OUTSIDE and INSIDE environmental triggers. The outside cues primarily come from exposure to light and darkness.

On the other hand, your organs and cells don't have light sensors, so inside cues are determined by WHEN we eat, fast, move and rest. Both of which have a POWERFUL IMPACT on your circadian rhythm.

Night:

Sleep

Rest & Relax

Decrease body temperature

Repair & Recovery

Decrease digestion

Memory consolidation

Lower heart rate

Detoxification

Day:

Wakefulness

Energy Boost

Increase in body temperature

Eat & Digest

Cortisol release

Increase insulin efficiency

Increase focus

Increase serotonin production

Increase immune function

Increase blood pressure

Sharper senses

Higher heart rate

When the cues of our circadian rhythm are out of sync, it will cause a dysfunctional circadian rhythm. A dysfunctional circadian rhythm manifest in many physiological conditions including but not limited to…

Depression

Anxiety

Memory issues

Thyroid disease

High blood pressure

High blood sugar
